Open Call - Increasing the Overall Impact of RURBANIVE

To drive the growth trajectory of digital solutions for rural-urban synergies and increase the overall impact of the project, RURBANIVE will launch a single Open Call (OC) providing Financial Support to Third Parties (FSTP) as a mechanism to expand the number of rural-urban facilitators.

Target Audience

The call is open to end-user actors within the rural-urban environment, including:

• Local and regional administrations
• Civil society
• Cooperatives
• Associations
• NGOs
• Local action groups
• Chambers of commerce and other trade representative organisations

Objective

• Address a broader range of social and environmental challenges related to RURBANIVE’s six domains.
• Leverage the potential of multi-source data and engage users as part of the solution.
• Enable transferability and accelerate the adoption and scaling up of Rural-Urban Ecosystems (RUEs) at the pan-European level for more sustainable and resilient rural areas.
• Enhance the RURBANIVE Community Store by adding at least six new RUEs based on synergies between rural and urban environments across Europe.

Thematic Areas

RURBANIVE will accept applications from consortia of 2 to 4 partners (≥1 technology and service provider and ≥1 end-user), with proposed solutions falling under one of the following RURBANIVE domains:

• Enhancing logistics and shortening value chains
• Ecosystem and biodiversity restoration
• Development of the regional circular bioeconomy
• User engagement, empowerment, society, and territorial awareness
• Access and promotion of culture, landscape, and heritage
• Improved mobility

The Open Call will fund at least six projects (maximum €100,000 per project, distributed among consortium members, with at least one technology and service provider and one end-user). A total budget of €600,000 is allocated for financial support to third parties.

Proposals must be submitted by 31 March 2025, at 17:00 CET.
